Yesterday may have been April Fool's Day when I almost swallowed an April Fool, but it was otherwise business as usual. I drove to Bellevue to get my hair cut, an amazing one-hour drive. Amazing? Well, it could easily have been a two-hour drive! So I was able to use my "early" arrival time by bopping into The Container Store for some much-needed trays. When I returned home, I continued my quest for a cleaned up and organized studio. My sweet husband reinforced some shelving that had been partially compromised because of the weight on them while I was out of town the other day.
Today's card features another Magenta stamp from a few years back. What I like about Magenta is that they keep all of their plates. You want a stamp from way back when? They can do it for you today. I used Nuance for the background colors, and Tombow markers to color the fish.
Nuance and a mist of water was applied to Conqueror 118# card stock, then heat set. After the Embossing Buddy was rubbed over the entire surface, the stamp was inked with VersaMark and heat embossed in white.
Color the fish with Tombow markers. Rough cut the squared image and apply to top card panel.
Die cut the "thanks" from Hero Arts using a scrap of the watercolored background paper, and stamp the sentiment at the bottom right with VersaFine in Black Onyx and heat set. Adhere die cut with adhesive, as well as random placed sequins.
Trim another base mat panel and affix to the A2 card base. Adhere the top card panel to the card.
