The last couple of days have been a blur. For different reasons, the rest of this week becomes even more of a blur with 4 birthdays and 2 graduations, all celebrated on Friday and Saturday. Whew!
The first graduation card for a celebration I missed this last Saturday is a very simple card for an amazing young lady. She changed her major and just graduated, with a job!, in elementary special education. Excited doesn't begin to describe how anxious she is for the new school year to begin. This card is only using yellow and black colors to represent her school colors.
I masked off the card base with Green Frog Masking Tape; make sure to pass the sticky side of the tape over your pant leg or something that is linty so it peels up easily without disturbing the watercolor card stock.
With a finger dauber, I applied the Canary ink over the entire rectangular space. I then used the Dandelion ink over the bottom and partially up the right side. Finally, I applied the gold ink over the bottom and partially up the right side. I heat set the colors.
Using my MISTI, I stamped the sentiment with both Memento Luxe and VersaFine inks in black. The flower was stamped with VersaFine in black.
Black circular sequins and yellow floral shaped sequins were placed in random spots.

In the aftermath of the tragic shooting in Orlando, a friend posted this rainbow photo on FaceBook. I've yet to see it repeated. It's exquisite and I wanted to share it with you.
Thanks for stopping by. Hug the ones you love!
