Let the summer begin with the celebration of our nation's independence in 1776!
I wanted to do a patriotic looking card, but I couldn't find the stamp I wanted to use. So, I improvised!
Impression Obsession: "Circle Dangle" L15052
IMAGINE Crafts: Memento Ink and irRESISTible Pico Embellisher by Tsukineko in Bahama Blue
Kuretake Zig Clean Color Real Brush Marker in Geranium Red
Glitter Pen in Red
Memory Box Stitched Square Layers Die 30038
We R Memory Keepers Next Level Embossing Folder "Gemstone"
Mirricard Card Stock in blue and red
Conqueror 118# Cover Card Stock in Diamond White (stamped panel)
Strathmore 140# Cold-Press Watercolor Card Stock (base card - 6"x6")
Stamp the image with Bahama Blue ink; heat set. Use brush marker to draw sketchy lines between the stamped lines. Use red glitter pen to highlight the circles (solid and open) in the stamped image. Use Pico Embellisher to add dots around the outside perimeter in a random pattern; also make the inside circle line more bold by drawing over the line with the Pico Embellisher. Allow everything to dry. Using the largest nested die, use the Stitched Square Layer die to cut out the design. Cut the blue mirricard to a 5.75" square and the red mirricard to a 5.5" square. Use the embossing folder on the red square. Adhere all of the layers.
Thank you for stopping by, especially on this national holiday that is all about time with family and friends, barbecues, picnics, sunshine and the brilliance of the fireworks displays. Please enjoy your day and most of all, be safe!
