My Artsy View
Combining fine art rubber stamping, mixed media techniques and paper crafting, these are art forms that I love to share. I like the idea of learning together -- sharing what I learn and learning from what others share.
ABOUT BELLA CARTA
I took my first class in rubber stamping at Art 'n Soul in Lacey/Olympia, Washington in 2004. I learned how to use colored pencils on stamped images. It was wonderful because I always wondered how the colors were added to the stamped images -- duh! I was hooked!
I love to work with everything, i.e., stamp inks, watercolors, embossing powders, acrylics, alcohol inks and markers, color sprays, glitters, dimensional and texture mediums, dies, stencils, et al. It's really mind-boggling at times which to use when all of these products are within easy reach.
My fall-back never-fail go-to's are:
-
colored pencils
-
die cuts
-
embossing
-
inks and stencils
I primarily make cards and tags now. I want more time working on my art journals, bookmaking, and altered art to expand upon all of those 'lessons learned' in classes. I want to take more classes! Most important, I want to brighten the world using lots of color in my art projects.
