Going Postal
I'm in a swap group that sends either a rectangle (self-mailing postcard) or a round (Altered Trading Coin) each month. This month, we were asked to send our partner a postcard using a spring theme. I was lucky to find a pre-designed postcard on very heavy chipboard; I don't know where they came from but I think Impress Cards & Crafts in Tukwila, WA is ordering some for customers who are attending a "Creating Connections with Postcards" class there next Saturday, March 30. Turning 21 . . .
Where does the time fly to? What seems like a nano-second, an adopted "niece and nephew" of ours celebrated their daughter's 21st birthday yesterday, unbeknownst to me. She has excelled and is due to graduate from college this spring with amazing grades each year. A quick and last-minute birthday card was in order and I just happened to have this stamp on my work desk. I love Laurel Burch and her colorful designs; I have for over 30 years! Bring out those colored pencils . . .
My card for a friend who recently lost her husband unexpectedly. My first inclination was to color the image with watercolors. My mind was scattered. I decided to rely on my Prismacolor colored pencils. I stamped the image with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I colored in with my colored pencils. I've always loved how the pencil colors really come out on black paper. Using an A6 black card, rub your embossing buddy* over the entire surface of the
