Inspiration All Around
One of the fun artsy activities is to stroll around the internet and see what folks are up to by looking at the various blogs. I've always had my favorite "route", and occasionally I would discover a new site. You'll never be disappointed. You just have to be careful how long your stroll takes; sometimes, you'll find hours have passed.
One of my favorite blogs to visit each and every day is Magenta's blog . . . Magenta Style. I love this Christmas card by Carole Dion.

The templates and stamps that she used are from Magenta and can be purchased or ordered from Art 'n Soul in Lacey, Washington.
I really like the simplicity of this beautiful Christmas card on the PoppyStamps' blog. It's one of those you could easily make several of.

My friend Ava Hansen has been busy making art. She recently shared this beautiful mixed media piece that I asked to share with you.
Ava has used Nuance colors from Magenta in the background before stamping Penny Black images of branches and weeds. The fish were stamped, embossed, and colored with Koi brand watercolors after bleaching them out first. You can purchase or order Magenta's Nuance powdered watercolors at Art 'n Soul.
Peet Roeven has made the sweetest tags using Penny Black's Tree Chirps stamp. I think these would make adorable ornament gifts as well.

I'm in Seattle for my husband's annual statewide meeting; this is his last official meeting as the Executive Director. He is handing over the reins to another gentleman, and will serve in a reduced capacity as Senior Advisor next year. I'm sure the Awards Banquet tonight will be a very emotional one for him.
I'm hoping that next week I will be able to implement some new tools to the blog, i.e., how to subscribe to the blog postings and add a listing of links to some favored blog sites. In addition, I'm hoping to begin a practice that I originally wanted to do here! Thanks for all of your patience in "learning" with me and stopping by to visit.
