Love the new Nuance colors

It's been a busy two days. I hosted a home jewelry dinner party last night. I reluctantly signed up for this duty at a friend's party last fall; it was a weak emotional moment I'm sure. And then I was going to prepare a birthday lunch for my sister-in-law today but the number attending kept growing, so we met at a restaurant instead. All I had to do was bring the cake . . . Costco cheesecake with huge fresh blackberries. Ta dah!

We leave for Las Vegas at o'dark thirty Saturday morning and while there, we'll celebrate another sis-in-law's birthday. So here's my card. I'm excited because it's the first opportunity I've had to use this new stamp from Magenta and 3 of the 5 new Nuance colors they've just released.

Magenta Style, Nuance watercolor, watercolor, Ranger, Queen & Co., Memory Box

I stamped the image on card stock with VersaMark, placing the image along the left edge. I stamped the same image off on copier paper to use as a mask. With the mask in place, I stamped the image again with VersaMark.

I embossed with gold embossing powder. I colored in with the new Nuance colors. After, I fussy cut the image out. The straight edges were left.

The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark and embossed with the same embossing powder. The panel card stock was die cut with the stitched rectangular die, and then adhered to the base card, a little high and center. The cut-out stamped image was adhered toward the bottom of the base panel. I purposely stamped the floral image onto a larger piece of card stock so the width would be a little wider. Random droplets were placed on the card.

If you haven't purchased the new colors of Nuance from Magenta, you'll want to add these colors to your collection. You may purchase and/or order them from Art 'n Soul in Lacey, WA, as well as the beautiful Azalea stamp.

Speaking of Magenta, this is a lovely upbeat card that I really took to. Perhaps it's because I love that feather design. The stamp is from Magenta and was featured on their blog.
