I hope all of you enjoyed the Fourth of July Celebration with your family and friends. We were fairly low-key since we'd hosted a birthday dinner party of 15 for my husband the night before. The view from our deck took in many, many fireworks displays all over the skies, nearby and afar. It was awesome!
My stepson's birthday is today; he celebrates his 44th birthday. The number "44" is a favorite number in the family. His sister's first boyfriend was on the football team and his number was 44. Both his mom and his dad were born in 1944. So, I enjoyed making this card for him.
I cut a rectangle of decorated paper with the "4" die and "happy" die. I also cut a scrap piece of yellow card stock with the same dies. Then I cut the decorated paper with a stitched oval die. The "birthday" sentiment was stamped with StazOn using my MISTI stamp positioner. The base card was made from linen card stock. The oval was positioned onto the card base with foam tape. The die pieces were placed inside the die-cut openings with foam dots. Droplets and sequins were randomly placed. Corner adornments are from peel-offs.

I've been obsessed with the Bouquets stamp set from Penny Black Stamps. Here is another one I've colored on the Inchie Arts' 4-inch Square Art Board. I really like how the soft vintage color look came out.
