Yesterday was my husband's birthday. He's not a flashy person; he likes most everything to be of simple lines and color. We went to Seattle to enjoy dinner with his son, so I decided this card would be the perfect one for him, thanks to Altenew Stamps.
On a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Card Stock, I stamped the image with VersaMark using my MISTI. I heat embossed with white embossing powder. With the small distress ink pads, I applied two colors of Distress Inks; I also went over some areas with a wet piece of paper towel to draw up some of the color. With the Clean Color Real Brush Markers, I went over the embossed building and structural areas of the stamp design with the light gray color. I used a light green color for the tree foliage. Returning to the MISTI, I stamped the sentiment from the same set with VersaFine. I added the quote marks with a fine-tipped black marker. The stamped panel was cut down to 5-3/8" x 4-1/8", and adhered to an A2 white card base.
