Turning 21 . . .

Where does the time fly to? What seems like a nano-second, an adopted "niece and nephew" of ours celebrated their daughter's 21st birthday yesterday, unbeknownst to me. She has excelled and is due to graduate from college this spring with amazing grades each year. A quick and last-minute birthday card was in order and I just happened to have this stamp on my work desk.

Stampendous, Laurel Burch Designs, The Ton Stamps, Copic Markers, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Ranger, Tsukineko

I love Laurel Burch and her colorful designs; I have for over 30 years! I stamped with VersaMark onto white card stock and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I colored in with Copic markers. I layered the stamped panel onto gold card stock, and layered again onto black card stock to set the image off against the base panel. I thought the base panel card stock design and colors were a good match to finish off the funky design. To stamp the words I used VersaFine Clair pigment ink in Nocturne because that is the most wonderful and "blackest" ink on the market.

Stampendous' Laurel Burch "A Bunch of Love" stamp (LBCP007)

The Ton Stamps' "Friggin Fabulous" stamp set (sentiment)

Copic Ciao Markers

Tsukineko's VersaMark watermark ink and VersaFine Clair pigment ink in Nocturne

Ranger's Embossing Powder in Queen's Gold

Elizabeth Craft Designs' Designer Paper -- Rainbow Bark Moda Collection and Soft Finish Card Stock in white (stamped panel using the backside)

Glossy Gold Card Stock and Black 65# Card Stock (matting panels)

A6 Base Card in White (pre-scored in a pack of 25)

Thanks for stopping by today. I'll be back tomorrow with a postcard I made for a swap.
